WE’RE BACK! Training resumed at LMA on Thursday evening (1 April) and continues every Thursday ahead of a proposed series of Ready4Rugby games against local clubs.
Over 30 players made the first session of 2021 and the rather biting north-easterly breeze did little to dampen the enthusiasm.
Coach Andy Edwards said “We’re delighted to be back together* on the rugby field again. [*And also apart, in that distanced kind of way!]. There’s great numbers here tonight for the first session of the year. Old faces, new faces, returning faces and young faces. Good times.”
Meanwhile, Leeds United fan Coach Daniels talked about bringing some Bielsa-like flair to the team.
Skipper Ali Hall said “Apparently there’s no scrums or mauls in Ready4Rugby rules, so am looking to use my winger’s pace to great effect!”
Mark Macaskill (Vets Captain) has announced a match v Warlingham Vets on Friday 7 May.
Titans training resumes over the Easter break with the first session panned for Thursday 8 and Friday 9 April.
Everyone agreed “It’s great to be back!”
