Lime Meadow Avenue becomes Lee Mears Avenue this Wednesday as British & Irish Lion LEE MEARS becomes Trinity RFC’s second guest coach of the season.

Lee will be joining our regular coaches Matt and George to provide specialist coaching for both scrummaging and lineout play. His appearance as a Mids’ Guest Coach follows that of former USA Sevens coach Mike Friday during pre-season in August.

Lee played his club rugby for Bath from 1998 until his retirement in 2013 and played for the England national team from 2004 to 2012; he earned 42 international caps, played in two Rugby World Cups and played for the Lions on the 2009 tour to South Africa.

Head Coach Matt Higgins said “This is a rare opportunity for the club and continues our commitment to develop all of our senior players. We are determined to build upon the exciting foundation we have in place with a  blend of young and experienced players making up a talented squad!”

Training at Lime Meadow Avenue commences at 7pm prompt.
