CLUB SHIRTS RAISE £420 FOR NHS CHARITIES
July 9, 2020
Suitably protected behind a Perspex screen and begloved in Midwife Blue rubber, Ian Walsh welcomed club members to the reopening of the Clubhouse Bar at Lime Meadow Avenue on Wednesday (8 July).
On a mizzly, drizzly night Rugby fitness training and cricket training was taking place outside while a fair number of stalwarts supped pints both inside (seated) and outside (standing) in the BBQ area.
Much behind-the-scenes hard work has taken place to ensure the Clubhouse is Covid-safe and following the Government’s current guidelines re social distancing, and we extend our grateful thanks to Nick Trend, Alan Bishop, Alan Collins, Anna Warnock and of course Ian Walsh, who have worked tirelessly to allow our bar and facilities to reopen.
Visitors will notice a one-way entrance/exit system, perspex screens at the bar, plastic glasses and cashless payment (all payments to be made via Membership Cards only).
We are keen to ensure that the guidelines are adhered to fully at all times – a link can be found to the TSSSC website here – and Ian has asked us to specifically point out that members may not be aware that there is no standing at the bar/stage area unless queuing for drinks , all patrons MUST be seated at tables (INCLUDING children) and that there is a limit to the number of people we can have inside the bar area. People drinking outside still need to adhere to social distancing guidelines where appropriate.
The current opening hours are:
Tuesday: 18.30 – 21.00 (from 14th July)
Wednesday 18.30 – 21.00
Thursday 19.00 – 21.00
Saturday 12.00 – 18.00
Sunday 12.00 – 18.00
These are subject to constant review, as are all the regulations that allow us to stay open. Obviously all members must do all they can to assist Ian and the team in their observance.
